Rubin Hotel - Sibiu

Lovely small small place, it has particularly good and magnificent location really close to the open air ethnographic museum, and the city park. Overall fabulous food, plus there is Symposium close by.

it is 10 mins by foot from the bus station. the rooms are spacious with a lovely bathroom.

Rubin is a charming small hotel located in a quiet area, just a short distance from the Zoo and the Astra Museum. the room is clean and well-maintained, complete with a shower and fresh towels. Its peaceful surroundings offer a nice retreat while still being close to the Priory Ruins and the City Center for easy exploration.

I run a small travel company (www.roving-romania.co.uk) and stayed here with 4 clients. The Rubin is an excellent small hotel, comfortable, clean, efficient and with helpful, friendly staff. It is in a superb location for the award-winning Astra museum of folk technology - just 5 minutes down the road - and a good location for visiting Sibiu and the surrounding area. It is located in a quiet residential district. The exterior looks like many modern small hotels, albeit with an attractively laid out terrace for eating and drinking. The rooms however are excellent for the price - everything worked perfectly, which is unusual for Romania!

This hotel is excellent in almost all respects. The only problem we had was with one of the waiters at the hotel restaurant, who was arrogant and impatient. When a bottle of Romanian "champagne" was requested, he brought a warm bottle and a bucket of ice, and said the champagne would be cool in 5 minutes. Later he kept shouting "pig!" In English when trying to discover who had ordered the pork dish. Other waiters were much more respectful and attentive, and the menu was quite varied and interesting compared with the Romanian norm. Our experience with one arrogant waiter should not put you off visiting this superb small hotel!

The room was very large and the bathroom adorable. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly.

We booked a double room with air conditioning and had a lovely bathroom with a nice shower for our 3-night stay. 😊.

Fairly good price and clean bedroom. Good location right next to the bus stop.

Pork was a bit overcooked and the plug for the sink would not fill the hole, so I couldn't fill the basin to wash my face.

The room i stayed in was very big, including a sofa, it was very clean.The hotel staff was friendly. The location is very quiet, at max 10 min by car from old city center. Breakfast was varied.

Water was not included in breakfast offer.

This hotel offers cozy rooms with beautiful bathrooms, friendly and courteous staff, and a fantastic central location.

Clean and in an area with less noise and between some houses, parking in the yard and nice restaurant

There are only 2 Single rooms and they've tried to give me the one with awful smell from the kitchen, saying that is the only one available. when I said i would not accept and wanted to find another hotel, suddenly they had another one left :) It was a little bit too much noise inside the hotel over the night

The furnishing, the room, the location and the quiet surroundigs. The breakfast was good and also included fresh coffee and tea made by the staff.

It's really great value for money, the rooms are nice, staff is excellent.

The showers have curtains instead of doors. It's not really a big thing, but it would be better for the general cleanliness of the bathroom.

Good, friendly staff, good location, fair price

I stayed at this hotel for one night and was pleasantly surprised by the value for money. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, with a stocked minibar. The breakfast included in the price was good, offering a satisfying start to the day.

No major issues, everything was satisfactory.
